How to use

  1. 1 Paste the long text. Use a blank line between paragraphs.
  2. 2 Choose the platform limit (280 for X, 500 for Threads, 300 for Bluesky) and the numbering style.
  3. 3 The text is split instantly at sentence boundaries with the count shown on each post.
  4. 4 Copy posts one by one into the thread composer, or copy the whole thread.

Threads that get read

The first post is the hook and gets 80 percent of the impressions; make it a complete, standalone claim. Each following post should carry one idea. Ending every post with a full sentence (which this tool enforces by splitting at sentence boundaries) keeps readers moving instead of guessing where a thought continues.

Numbering and length

Numbering (1/7) tells readers how long the thread is and raises completion rate. The tool reserves room for the counter so no post exceeds the limit after numbering is added. Seven to twelve posts is the sweet spot; above twenty, completion drops sharply.

Repurposing

Threads are the fastest way to repurpose a blog post, newsletter or video script. Paste the script, split it, add a link to the full piece in the last post, and schedule the thread with X's built-in scheduler.

Questions

Does it count links as 23 characters?

No, it uses raw length. Posts with links will have a little spare room on X.

Can I edit a post after splitting?

Edit the source text; the split updates live. Fine-tune individual posts in the composer.

Does it work for LinkedIn or Instagram?

Choose the Instagram comment option (2,200) for comment chains. LinkedIn does not use threads.

What happens to very long sentences?

They are split by words so no post exceeds the limit.

Is there a post limit?

No. X allows threads of any length, though very long ones lose readers.
