Questions

What size is an Indian passport photo?

35×45 mm (3.5×4.5 cm) with a white background. The face should fill most of the photo — from the top of the hair to the chin is about 32–36 mm. The tool makes it 413×531 pixels at 300 DPI and shows a guide for the head.

How do I print passport photos?

Download the print sheet. It is a 4×6 inch (10×15 cm) photo with 8 passport photos and thin cut lines. Any photo shop or kiosk prints 4×6 for a few rupees — ask them to print at "actual size", not "fit".

Which other sizes can I make?

2×2 inch (51×51 mm) for US visa and OCI, 25×35 mm for the PAN card form, and 20×25 mm stamp size. Each has its own print sheet.

Is my photo uploaded?

No. The AI runs inside your browser on your phone or computer. Your photo never leaves your device. The AI model (~44 MB) downloads once and is then kept by your browser.

The form says the photo must be under 50 KB. What do I do?

Download the photo here, then open our free Image Compressor and choose "To a file size" with 50 KB (or whatever the form asks).

Will it be accepted?

The tool sets the size, the white wall and the head position. Acceptance also depends on your photo: look straight at the camera with a neutral face, eyes open, no cap or dark glasses, and even light without shadows. Check the latest rules of the office you apply to.
