LinkedIn banner size and the profile photo problem
LinkedIn personal banners are 1584x396 pixels (4:1). On desktop, your round profile photo sits over the bottom-left of the banner, hiding roughly a 420-pixel-wide area. On mobile the banner is cropped on both sides. The editor draws both zones so you can keep your name, tagline or logo in the part that is always visible: right of centre, vertically centred.
What to put on a LinkedIn banner
The best banners state what you do in five words, show one visual proof (product, stage, book) and include one call to action like a website. Use large text: the banner is small on phones. Keep the background simple so the text contrasts with it.
Company pages and posts
Company page covers are 1128x191, an extremely wide strip, so centre the logo and keep text minimal. Post images perform best at 1200x627; documents and carousels use 1080x1080 or 1080x1350. The presets cover all of these.
